Abstract
Depending on the severity of the clinical problem, three categories of treatment--home, outpatient and hospital--were utilized in 82 patients whose conditions met the strict criteria for cervical radiculitis. Details of the clinical picture, laboratory findings, electromyographic examinations, category and results of treatment are detailed. The follow-up results in 59 patients contacted one to two years after the initial treatment are also included. Eighty percent of the patients had good to excellent results when treated with conservative therapy during the initial episode whereas 71% continued to have good to excellent results after one to two years. Seventeen percent of those patients who were followed required a laminectomy.Entities:
