Abstract
A case of familial selective IgA deficiency associated with autoimmune hemolytic disease is reported that illustrates the therapeutic implications when these two entities coexist. Immunoglobulin screening is recommended for patients with AHD who require blood transfusions, in order to identify IgA-deficient patients who may have anti-IgA anaphylactic reactions.Entities:
