Abstract
Lichen sclerosus et atrophicus (LSA) is a chronic inflammatory mucocutaneous disease usually affecting the female genitalia. Involvement of the oral mucosa is extremely rare but is sometimes the only manifestation of the disease. A review of the literature has disclosed only 10 histopathologically verified cases of oral LSA. We present another case with a solitary oral LSA lesion and summarize the current knowledge about this rare oral mucosal lesion.Entities:
