Abstract
In the true spirit of Michael Abercrombie's pioneering studies on cell locomotion, the Fifth Abercrombie's Symposium on Cell Behaviour--held in St Catherine's College at Oxford University (September 15-18, 2002)--celebrated the intricate beauty of cell motility with an explosion of new technologies that Abercrombie could only have dreamed of. Building on the complementary approaches of quantitative cell biology, biochemistry and genetics, the meeting provided new insights into the ever-growing complexity of the signal transduction pathways involved in cell movement.Mesh:
