Abstract
Obstructive uropathy refers to the condition of obstruction to urine flow from the kidney to the bladder. Such obstruction may be acute or chronic, complete or incomplete, and unilateral or bilateral. It has many diverse causes each with their own specific features and yet each producing similar disturbances to renal function and urine flow. This paper discusses the unique role of nuclear medicine techniques in the diagnosis and management of urinary tract obstruction in current urological practice.Entities:
