[Bifid ureter ending blindly at one of its upper ends. 4 cases (author's transl)].

J Cendron, H Saied, P Trottot.

Abstract

In childhood, the bifid ureter ending blindly at one of its upper ends is the most frequent type of "ureteral diverticulum". Four cases are described: two were diagnosed because of urinary infection, the two others were part of a more complex urinary anomaly. When such a lesion is found, it seems logical to remove the pouch where the ruine refluxes and stagnates. It is a relatively benign operation and the result usually is good.
