Abstract
Apoptosis-inducing factor (AIF) was originally discovered as a mitochondrial protein that, like cytochrome c, is released into the cytoplasm during cell death. New evidence suggests, however, that a redox-active enzymatic region of AIF may be antiapoptotic while a DNA binding region is proapoptotic.Entities:
