Abstract

Hauptmannia benoni n. sp. (Acari: Prostigmata: Erythraeidae) is described from larvae collected on plants in Madeira. Abrolophus neobrevicollis Zhang & Goldarazena is also reported for the first time in Madeira. A key to the species of larval Hauptmannia with a comb-like palptarsal seta is provided.
