Abstract
Growing evidence indicates that the integration of clinical decision support (CDS) into the computer-based patient record (CPR) can decrease medical errors, enhance patient safety, decrease unwanted practice variation, and improve patient outcomes. Two case studies are presented of advanced CDS systems that go beyond basic integration with the CPR to truly support clinician decision making.Entities:
