Abstract

Results of sociohygienic studies of the effect impact of vital activity on the mental and physical status, in pregnancy and on progenic health in women living in a Siberian town are presented. Most important determinants of disturbances in pregnancy and neonatality, as well as the causes of psychoemotional stress in pregnant women under modern socioeconomic conditions were revealed. Relative risks of adverse impact of major sociobiological and psychoemotional factors on pregnant women and on newborns were calculated. The use of socioeconomic and psychological indices in pregnant women together with the characteristics of somatic and reproductive health was proved to be essential in the sociohygienic monitoring system.
