[Household composition of the elderly in Italy (1981)].

F Bartiaux.

Abstract

"The last Italian census (1981) was used to study the household composition of people aged sixty and over. Composition varied with the age and sex of the elderly person, and with area of residence. Those who lived with, or at the home of, a child were studied especially closely. Geographical variation in the household composition of elderly people showed that composition is a living reflection of the past and present demography of each region." (SUMMARY IN ENG) excerpt
