The management of pyocystis following ileal conduit urinary diversion in children.

Abstract

27 cases of pyocystis following ileal conduit urinary diversion are discussed. In those cases not responding to medical treatment, vagino-vesicostomy is recommended as an alternative to cystectomy. The operation of prophylactic vagino-vesicostomy at the time of the original diversion is discussed.
