Control of diabetes insipidus by continuous monitoring of the electrical conductivity of the urine with a simple device.

H D Herrmann, H Ludt.

Abstract

An apparatur is desribed for continuous monitoring of electrical conductivity of urine for the control of diabetes insipidus. It consists of a flow through measuring cell connected to the urinary catheter, and a simple conductivity meter. Experiences with this measuring device, and its advantages, are described and discussed.
