A new breed of donor. Trends in gift giving.

.

Abstract

Let's say that as a result of a lot of hard work and personal sacrifice, you've accumulated a significant amount of money. Now you're looking for some charitable cause in which to invest. As you invest this money--money symbolizing the sum of your life's work--don't you wish to have some control, some degree of input into the manner in which the money is used? This attitude personifies today's newest type of donor.
