Abstract
Transmission electron microscopy has played a key role in our understanding of the human immunodeficiency virus and the opportunistic infections that accompany HIV disease. This paper describes features of HIV production; HHV-8, the virus that is associated with Kaposi sarcoma; Trachipleistophora anthropophthera, a new disseminating microsporidian; and bacterial enteritis, which causes diarrhea in patients with AIDS.Entities:
