Abstract
The present study reports the first Argentinian human cases of tinea caused by urease-positive Trichophyton rubrum strains (corresponding to isolates previously described as T. raubitschekii) in order to supply geographical data for these strains that are very rarely isolated as agents of dermatophytosis. The two isolates were identified by morphological, cultural, and physiological characteristics. The strains were isolated from cases of tinea corporis and tinea unguium.Entities:
