Abstract
Directly observed therapy (DOT) ensures patient adherence through the administration of medications by trained health department personnel. This approach has been widely adopted in tuberculosis care. Unfortunately, DOT programs require a substantial commitment of scarce public health funds and personnel time. The application of telemedicine to DOT promises considerable cost and time savings.Entities:
