Hematoma of the maxillary sinus presenting as a mass--a case report and review of literature.

Abstract

We report a case of an organized hematoma of the maxillary sinus presenting with proptosis, facial numbness and a maxillary sinus mass. A review of the literature highlights potential etiologic factors. A diagnostic and therapeutic approach to this uncommon lesion is also discussed. Copyright 2002 Elsevier Science Ireland Ltd.
