Abstract
The prevalence of juvenile diabetes in the under-20 age group was found to vary from 5.2 to 9.8 per 10 000 juvenile population in Canton of Bern (Switzerland), varying with the region. The overall prevalence was 5.9/10 000. There were twice as many juvenile diabetics in the mountain region than in the other two geographically different areas. The survey was carried out with the help of practitioners and chiefs of hospital services. Participation was close to 100%.Entities:
