Hepatic exstrophy complicating Poland's anomaly.

Mark Puder1, Arin Greene, David Mooney.

Abstract

Poland's anomaly is comprised of a constellation of anomalies. To be included in the syndrome, a child must have a deficiency of the pectoralis major and minor muscles and an associated anomaly of either the ipsilateral breast or hand. Associated defects may include syndactyly osseous and cartilagenous costal aplasia and adactyly. A case of hepatic exstrophy through a full-thickness chest wall defect in an infant with Poland's anomaly is reported. Copyright 2002, Elsevier Science (USA). All rights reserved.
