Abstract
The Allergo-vigilance Network including 200 French allergologists and 28 European ones, has three objectives: to index the cases of lethal or prelethal anaphylaxis, to evaluate the prevalence of food allergies, clinical pictures and allergens, and to implement the post-marketing surveillance of the allergic risk of novel foods. The first survey dealing with life-threatening food allergies leads to an estimation of 15,000 to 30,000 reactions per year in France. The AVN could be a helpful tool for public health organizations.Entities:
