Dependence on age of methamphetamine-produced changes in thermoregulation and metabolism.

C J Estler.

Abstract

In contrast to juvenile mice, old mice treated with methamphetamine are unable to adequately mobilize their carbohydrate reserves. They cannot increase their overall metabolism and become hypothermic, while juvenile mice react with increased calorigenesis and hyperthermia.
