Spongiform encephalopathy mimicking corticobasal degeneration.

Abstract

The presentation of subacute spongiform encephalopathies (SSE) is varied. The following case of SSE presented clinically similar to corticobasal degeneration. The SSE diagnosis was suspected because of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) findings and confirmed pathologically. Copyright 2002 Movement Disorder Society
