Abstract
Racial differences in the prevalence of HGPIN and in the Gleason score of local stage cancers indicate that clinically observed racial differences in cancer incidence and stage at diagnosis reflect racial variability in prostate carcinogenesis. Exploration of genetic, hormonal, nutritional, and behavioral differences in black and white men may provide insight into the fundamental mechanisms of prostatic carcinogenesis and cancer progression.Entities:
