Abstract
Sections of muscle from Florida black bears (Ursus americanus floridanus) collected in the state of Florida were observed for the presence of Sarcocystis sp. sarcocysts. Two of 132 (1.5%) black bears had muscle sections containing sarcocysts. One sarcocyst was observed per muscle section. The sarcocysts averaged 181.5 x 99.0 microm by light microscopy of hematoxylin and eosin-stained sections.Entities:
