Abstract
The collapse-phenomenon of the central retinal artery induced by compression of the eyeball and the pulsatory variations of the intraocular pressure were recorded simultaneously. The collapse-phenomenon indicating the systolic pressure of the ophthalmic artery was correlated to the peak and that indicating the diastolic pressure of the ophthalmic artery to the through of the pulsewave. This finding has to be taken into account when evaluating the curves delivered by Stepanik's ophthalmic artery-tonography.Mesh:
