Abstract
Vascular complications associated with Mycobacterium tuberculosis infection have rarely been reported in children. We describe a case of deep venous thrombosis of the left leg in association with pulmonary tuberculosis. The patient had transient protein S deficiency and anticardiolipin IgG and IgM antibodies were also present. The pathogenesis of the hypercoagulable state in tuberculosis is discussed.Entities:
