Abstract
Rhodococcus equi brain abscesses usually occur in immunocompromised patients with prolonged and refractory pulmonary infections. Herein we report a case of R. equi brain abscess in a 67-y-old man without immunodepression. Our patient recovered after neurosurgical resection and prolonged antimicrobial therapy with vancomycin and trimethoprim-sulfamethoxazole.Entities:
