Abstract
Acute palsies of the peroneal nerve may have a variety of causes. In many patients, the cause remains undetermined. The authors report a patient with a thrombosis of a crural vein causing an acute peroneal nerve palsy. If the clinical history of patients with an acute peroneal nerve lesion is suggestive of venous thrombosis an appropriate diagnostic workup should be considered.Entities:
