[Macroscopic substratum of acupuncture points].

J Bossy, J C Maurel, G Godlewski.

Abstract

The dissection of supra-aponeurotic macroscopic elements underlying 201 acupuncture loci showed the following proportions: cerebrospinal nerve, 29%; vascular element (mostly venous), 34%; vascular and nervous pedicle, 37%. Thus there is no specific structure related to all the acupuncture loci, but a preferential distribution has been established according to the loci and their therapeutic indications.
