Abstract
Hyaluronan occurs naturally in the body. It appears to have an important role in wound healing and is essential to scarless healing in a fetus. Hyaluronan has now been developed as a wound dressing. This paper will examine the literature to assess the dressing's usefulness in difficult-to-heal, chronic wounds, which present a great challenge to tissue viability experts.Entities:
