Erythrocyte peroxide metabolism, plasma lipid pattern and hemorheological profile in chronic renal failure.

Abstract

We analysed the main alterations of the erythrocyte peroxide metabolism and plasma lipid pattern, and their direct or indirect influence on erythrocyte rheology in subjects with mild and stable chronic renal failure in conservative treatment. In particular, we describe the red cell metabolic parameters and macro- and microrheological make-up in this clinical condition.
