Swallowed partial denture: a case report.

S G Cottrell1, J M Hanley.

Abstract

Accidental swallowing and aspiration of dental prostheses is not uncommon and has been reported frequently in the literature. The location of a swallowed or aspirated dental prosthesis often is accomplished radiographically but this is difficult with prostheses constructed entirely of acrylic resins. A case report of an elderly patient who swallowed a removable partial denture is reviewed.
