Abstract
Although various forms of therapy have been used, since antiquity, to lower the temperature of febrile patients, it is still not known whether the benefits of antipyretic therapy outweigh its risks. Justifications for the use of antipyretic drugs, and the evidence pertaining to these rationales, are examined. Antipyretic therapy in sepsis, and adverse effects of antipyretic medications, are also reviewed.Entities:
