Characterization of a reserve glucan from Megasphaera elsdenii.

Abstract

A reserve glucan of Megasphaera elsdenii was studied by methylation analysis before and after treatment with isoamylase. The results of this study indicate that the glucan is of the amylopectin-glycogen type.
