Abstract
A blocker of prostaglandin (PG) snythesis, indomethacin, given to pregnant ewes near term produces constriction of the lamb ductus arteriosus in utero. The result supports the hypothesis formulated previously that E-type prostaglandins, which are potent relaxant on the ductus, are responsible for maintaining the patency of the vessel during foetal life.Entities:
