[Behavior of heart rate in man during movement from horizontal to upright position at different speeds].

In ten healthy males heart rate during changes from recombent to upright position at different speeds was studied. Contrary to the rapid passive and active change of body position the subjects showed no increase in heart rate in the sense of an "initial complex", when moved by slow tilting from horizontal to upright position (70 degrees).
