Patients' perceptions of bedside handover.

C Greaves1.

Abstract

Gone are the days when a nurse would discuss a patient's progress in a matter of fact way behind their back when handing over their care to a colleague. Handover has now moved from the office to the bedside to maximise patient involvement and continuity of care. Catherine Greaves reveals how patients perceive this practice.
