Abstract
We report the first case of infective endocarditis secondary to transrectal prostatic biopsy, occurring 2 weeks later in a patient with no obvious risk factors. Enterococcus faecalis was isolated in blood and urine cultures. This case suggests that infective endocarditis can be associated with transrectal procedures.Entities:
