Abstract

In some cognitively delayed children who require a vagal nerve stimulator for treatment of their seizures, there is a risk of wound breakdown and infection from obsessive tampering with the wound. We describe the interscapular placement of the vagal nerve stimulator pulse generator as a method to reduce this risk. Copyright 2002 S. Karger AG, Basel
