Abstract
Colonoscopy screening has the highest anticipated level of effectiveness of the available colorectal cancer screening techniques. Its long-term cost-effectiveness is also comparable with or superior to other modalities. Evidence for the expected reduction in colorectal cancer incidence and mortality varies with colonoscopy screening from 50% to 90%, for reasons that are not fully understood. Maintaining a high standard of performance is critical with regard to achieving the highest level of effectiveness possible.Entities:
