Abstract
Skin ulcers of the lower extremities have a chronic, relapsing course and often are difficult to manage. Leg ulcers remain a significant management challenge to health care professionals. This article focuses on the various causes of leg ulcers, with an emphasis on venous disease. Characteristic clinical findings and appropriate treatment options are discussed. Finally, the latest advances in the treatment of venous ulcers and their implications for clinical practice are emphasized.Entities:
