Abstract
A specimen of the sponge Myriastra clavosa from the Philippines contained two dimeric macrolides, clavosolides A and B. Clavosolide A is a symmetrical dimer, while clavosolide B is rendered unsymmetrical by the replacement of one of the methoxyl groups by a hydroxyl group. The structures of the clavosolides were elucidated by interpretation of spectroscopic data.Entities:
