Abstract
Viral infections remain an important cause of morbidity and mortality following LTx in children. Increasing experience with both 'donor-associated' and 'community-acquired' viruses is leading to improved outcomes and the development of effective preventive strategies. The potential importance of emerging viral pathogens is an area of active research, which hopefully will also lead to effective treatments and potential preventive strategies for these newly recognized pathogens.Entities:
