Abstract
On healthy volunteers it is tested whether the cardiovascular and central stimulating effect of Akrinor and the depressive effect of propranolol influence each other mutually. Akrinor causes an increase in arterial pressure, in cardiac stroke volume and cardiac output in connection with a decrease in peripheral vascular resistance and in heart rate. These changes are abolished by propranolol whereas the central stimulating effect on the respiratory minute volume and the oxygen consumption is not influenced. After blocking of the beta-receptors, Akrinor exerts a diminished influence on the cardiovascular dynamics, a stimulation of the alpha-receptors cannot be evidenced. The findings are being discussed and compared with the effect of noradrenaline and adrenaline.Entities:
