Abstract
Allergen immunotherapy plays an important role in the treatment of allergic diseases and asthma. This article is a brief review of the current approaches, including patient and allergen selection, routes of administration, and use of standardized allergen vaccines. New approaches offering potentially useful strategies based on recent studies of T-cell epitopes, cytokines, and anti-IgE and DNA vaccines also are considered.Entities:
