Abstract
Maternal deaths from cesarean sections in Nigeria are exceptionally high and result from avoidable causes such as hemorrhagic shock, sepsis and hypertensive disorders in pregnancy. Increased involvement of specialists in the care and improved intra and post-operative management of cases are advocated to reduce the high maternal mortality rate.Entities:
