Abstract
While it is generally accepted that natural killer (NK) cells, by killing tumor cells in the circulation, represent a first line of defense against metastases, their therapeutic activity against established tumors has been limited. In this review, we describe studies to improve the therapeutic effectiveness of activated NK cells in both animal models and clinical trials to better understand the biological problems that limit their effectiveness.Entities:
