Abstract
The headspace of Parkia speciosa seeds was analysed by means of GC and GC-MS and found to contain 21 volatile components. The main constituents were hydrogen sulphide (41.30%), ethanol (39.15%), 1,2,4-trithiolane (4.75%) and acetaldehyde (3.59%), of which 1,2,4-trithiolane was found as one of the main component for the characteristic odour.Entities:
