Abstract
Pulmonary cryptococcosis is a very rare form of pneumonia, which is seldom seen among immunocompetent patients. We report the case of a 36-year-old man who presented with indolent pneumonia that was subsequently diagnosed to be pulmonary cryptococcosis without other systemic involvement. Contrary to formal belief, there was evidence of residual lung fibrosis 12 months after initial presentation. The features of pulmonary cryptococcosis reported in the Asian Pacific region are also reviewed.Entities:
